AIXTRON Application Laboratory

AIXTRON follows two different strategic objectives on the Research and Development (R&D) sector. On the one hand highly qualified CVD experts are working in the in-house Application Laboratory continuously improving the hardware and processes. On the other hand AIXTRON is involved in numerous international R&D projects and cooperations to keep the technology on the leading edge.

The development work in the AIXTRON Application Laboratory is strongly customer oriented. This means that the process development is focused on the fabrication of various devices. The R&D work that is done in the Application Laboratory enables us to provide a maximum support to our customers while establishing processes for their devices. Further, hardware improvements are continuously tested in the Application Laboratory in order to ensure the maximum reliability and reproducibility of all components.

New Research Areas

Future projects planned with international partners cover exciting new areas such as the development of solar cells, the deposition of diamond films, semiconducting polymers and other promising new materials and technologies.
